The aim of this study was to compare peripheral concentrations of the proinflammatory biomarkers IL-18, IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α and CRP in AUD patients versus controls and to identify whether CBM treatment affected these biomarkers in AUD patients.
We investigated whether T. gondii seropositivity is associated with 12-month depressive, anxiety and alcohol use disorders and current depressive symptoms and whether inflammation, measured by C-reactive protein (CRP) level, explains these associations.
This study examined how alcohol use disorder (AUD) patients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) differed from those without PTSD in terms of demography, drinking patterns and C-reactive protein, inflammatory cytokines, tryptophan metabolism parameters, and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF).
