We investigate TSLP and IL-33 in Behçet disease (BD) and we prove the effect of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-37 in BD skin lesions on TSLP production.
A significantly lower frequency of the AG genotype, and a higher frequency of the GG genotype and G allele of IL-37/rs3811047 were observed in BD as compared to controls.
The results show that both IL-37 mRNA level and protein expression were significantly decreased in PBMCs from active BD patients compared to normal controls.
