In the pooled analysis, high SNHG16 expression significantly predicted worse overall survival (OS) in various cancers (HR = 1.87, 95% CI 1.54-2.26, P < 0.001), and recurrence-free survival (RFS) in bladder cancer (HR = 1.68, 95% CI 1.01-2.79, P = 0.045).
A three-lncRNA panel (PCAT-1, UBC1 and SNHG16) was finally identified by multivariate logistic regression model to provide high diagnostic accuracy for BC with an area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve (AUC) of 0.857 and 0.826 in training set and validation set, respectively, which was significantly higher than that of urine cytology.
Expression of ncRAN was significantly higher in bladder cancers compared with normal tissues (P < .01) and in invasive tumor compared with superficial ones (P < .01).
