Collectively, the results of the present study revealed a novel function of WDR66 in mediating the progression of PTEN‑deficient SACCs, thereby suggesting WDR66 inhibition to be a potential therapeutic approach towards successful management of SACC disease progression, particularly against tumors with decreased PTEN expression levels.
