This study aimed to investigate CF dyslipidaemia, its clinical correlates and links to oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL), adiponectin, and apolipoprotein E (APOE).
Furthermore, adiponectin was significantly lower in active compared to sedentary CF (<i>p</i> = 0.047), while leptin was slightly increased in active compared to sedentary CF.
Considering the negative screening for rare genetic variants in ADIPOQ and STATH genes, it may be concluded that these genes are not associated with phenotypic modulation of CF in our population.
