After adjustment for race, age, gender, body mass index (BMI), diabetes, smoking, HIV RNA and CD4+ levels, associations of IL-6 and hsCRP with HTN prevalence were not significant (OR per twofold higher:1.10, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.99, 1.20 for IL-6 and 1.05, 95% CI: 0.99, 1.10 for hsCRP).
