This study aims to evaluate the risk factors for papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) with regard to urinary iodine concentration (UIC), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb), and thyroglobulin antibody (TGAb) in comparison to thyroid nodular goiter (NG).
Comparing patients from different groups with normal subjects, there was a significant response to rhTSHR-ECD and thyroglobulin in GD patients (P < 0.001) and HT patients (P < 0.05), but not in CNG patients (P > 0.1).
