In the present work, we investigated the time-dependent production of isoforms in two Hodgkin lymphoma cell lines of different progression stages (HD-MY-Z, stage IIIb and L-1236, stage IV) compared to a B lymphoblastoid cell line (LCL-HO) with a focus on tumour necrosis factor (TNF) pathway-related elements.
We elucidated the prevalence of a previously described G to A transition polymorphism at position -308 of the tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) promoter region in a population of patients with Hodgkin's disease (HD) (n = 36) and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) (n = 49) and healthy volunteers (n = 51).
CD30 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily that is expressed on activated lymphocytes, as well as on neoplastic cells of Hodgkin disease (HD) and anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL).
