The expressions of miR-146a and ciliary neurotrophic factor receptor (CNTFR) were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) in ALL and AML pediatric patients, as well as ALL (Jurkat) and AML (HL-60) cells.
Our findings suggest that miR-146a may be a novel biomarker for evaluating the clinical prognosis and treatment effects of a G-CSF priming protocol in elderly patients with AML.
Interestingly, we observed an inverse relationship between uPAR/CXCR4 expression and miR-146a and miR-335 levels in AML blasts, suggesting their possible role in the regulation of uPAR/CXCR4 expression also in vivo.
