We assessed the relation of the soluble fraction of tumor necrosis factor alpha receptor 2 (sTNFR2), C-reactive protein, interleukin-6 (IL6) levels with incident early menopause among Nurses' Health Study II participants who provided a premenopausal blood sample in 1996 to 1999.
Our results showed that the expression of IL-6, IL-21 and AMH were related to the occurrence and development of POF, IL-6, IL-21 and AMH can be used as the primary screening indexes for POF patients.
The lower levels of E2 and higher levels of FSH in serum characterize the ovarian injury; a great number of granular apoptotic cells were observed in the POF mice; the serum concentrations of pro-inflammatory cytokines of IL-6, IL-8 and TNF-α level were increased but anti-inflammatory cytokine of IL-10 was decreased.
