Examination of activated T cells (CD3+CD25+) isolated from the peripheral blood of MS revealed limited numbers (20 approximately 82) of expanded clones defined by single-strand conformation polymorphism clonotype.
This study investigates the expression of T cell receptor V delta 1 chain, interleukin-2 receptor alpha-chain (CD25) and adhesion molecules ICAM-1 (CD54), LFA-1 (CD11a/18) and CD44 on gamma delta+ T cells by three-color flow cytometry on cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and blood cells in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), other inflammatory neurological diseases (OIND) and other neurological diseases (OND).
