There was no significant difference in the median survival time between patients with MPO-ANCA nephritis with a UIP pattern (50.8 months) and IPF (55.8 months; p = 0.65).
In the phase of nephritis with low grade of proteinuria, the spontaneous release of MPO from peripheral neutrophils increased, indicating that neutrophils are activated and contribute to the development of active crescentic lesion in SCG/Kj mice.
