Surface expression of P-selectin protein was increased by exposure of the pancreatic tumor cells to thrombin, oxygen radicals, and trypsin, suggesting that common cellular mechanisms for regulating P-selectin surface expression exist among platelets, endothelial cells, and these pancreatic tumor cells.
