Based on the ROC curve, the sensitivity and specificity of IL-18 as a predictor of prognosis at a cutoff of 509.5 pg/mL were 88% and 82%, respectively, and the area under the curve (RUC) was 0.84 (P < .05).The expression level of serum IL-18 could be used to evaluate the possible outcomes of patients with ARDS.
