A significant correlation of the expression of the mRNA levels of seven cytokines in the same patients with sarcoidosis was observed between IL-8 and TNF-alpha, PDGF-B, and IL-6, IL-8 and IL-6 and TFN-alpha and PDGF-B and IL-8.
Compared with normal subjects, IL-8 concentration was significantly greater in both CFA (p < 0.001) and FASSc groups (p < 0.05) but no different in sarcoidosis.
