Mogamulizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody against CCR4 approved in the United States for the treatment of patients with relapsed/refractory mycosis fungoides or Sézary syndrome, the most common forms of CTCL.
The FDA-approved mogamulizumab-kpkc, a CC chemokine receptor type 4 (CCR4)-directed mAb, in August 2018 for treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory mycosis fungoides or Sézary syndrome after at least one prior systemic therapy.
Despite combination therapy including histone deacetylase inhibitor (vorinostat), the symptoms slowly evolved into Sézary syndrome (SS; T4N1M0B2) over 4 years, with dense infiltrates due to atypical lymphocytes expressing CCR4 developing in the entire dermis.
