The aim of this study is to clarify the relationships between susceptibility and severity of AS and GST-mu1 (GSTM1), GST-theta1 (GSTT1), GST-pi1 (GSTP1)-Ile105Val and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) I/D polymorphisms in AS patients.
To our knowledge, angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) gene I/D polymorphisms have not yet been investigated in AS patients in Turkish population.This study was conducted in Turkish patients with AS to determine the frequency of I/D polymorphism genotypes of angiotensin converting enzyme gene.
The aim of this study was to investigate an association between ACE gene I/D polymorphism and inflammatory back pain (spondylarthropathies) secondary to ankylosing spondylitis (AS), psoriatic arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and undifferentiated spondylarthropathies.
