We report the case of a 64-year-old man undergoing haemodialysis for antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis and diabetic nephropathy, who developed rapid onset of hyperglycaemia (glycated albumin 52.1%).
Double positivity of anti-nucleosome and anti-C1q antibodies showed a statistically significant association with the presence of vasculitis and photosensitivity, high ECLAM score, elevated ESR, low serum albumin and low C3 levels.
Inflammation level and renal function injury in antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis: a correlation with low albumin and high-density lipoprotein.
Serum neopterin and ischemia modified albumin levels are associated with the disease activity of adult immunoglobulin A vasculitis (Henoch-Schönlein purpura).
