Real-time RT-PCR detected a down-regulated xeroderma pigmentosum C (XPC) and an up-regulated UV-DDB2 gene expression in mildly-stressed embryos, whereas 8-oxoguanine DNA glycosylase (OGG1) gene expression increased with PQ exposure levels.
We demonstrated that apurinic endonuclease (APE), X-ray repair complementing defective repair in Chinese hamster cells 3 (XRCC3), xeroderma pigmentosum D (XPD), and hOGG1 gene variants were associated with an increased risk for development of migraine disease (p<0.05).
Greatly elevated levels of 8-hydroxy-2'deoxyguanosine, 8-oxoguanine-DNA-glycosylase, apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease and xeroderma pigmentosum A were evident in the urothelium in group 1, accompanied by increased Cs in the urine.
