Serum levels of phospholipase A2 receptor antibody (PLA2R; SAb) and glomerular deposits of PLA2R antigen (GAg) have been detected in patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN).
The clinical features and prevalence of PLA2R positive staining in adolescent patients with IMN were similar to adult patients, suggesting that they probably have a close etiology and pathogenesis.

We report the case of a patient who developed IMN with intense staining for PLA2R, IgG4, C3, C5b-9, factor B, and properdin and very weak staining for C1q, C4d, and IgG1.
