Expression profiles of hippocampal regenerative sprouting-related genes and their regulation by E-64d in a developmental rat model of penicillin-induced recurrent epilepticus.
Previous studies indicate that ApoE ɛ4 is associated with several disease-related traits including the increased risk of late posttraumatic seizures, earlier onset of TLE, refractory complex partial seizures, and postictal confusion.
The aim of this research was to investigate the possible association of ApoE gene polymorphism with the development of resistance to pharmacological therapy in patients with partial complex seizures with or without secondary generalization.
