The FAS-670AA genotype significantly influenced the predisposition to SSc (OR 1.97, 95% CI 1.35 to 2.88, p = 0.001) and to both lcSSc (OR 1.84, 95% CI 1.23 to 2.75, p = 0.003) and dcSSc (OR 2.37, 95% CI 1.41 to 3.99, p = 0.001).
A meta-analysis comprising all 9 cohorts revealed an association of both the FAS -670G allele (OR 1.10) and the FAS -670GG genotype (OR 1.13) with the lcSSc phenotype.
