The objective of the current investigation was to assess the relationship between poor sleep and C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), and myeloperoxidase (MPO) in healthy non- and postmenopausal women and men.
Increased BDI-II scores in SAR patients were significantly associated with levels of IL-6 as well as IL-6/IL-10 and IFN-γ/IL-10 ratios and further, to an early age at manifestation of SAR and poor sleep quality.
