She presented with a clinical diagnosis of Li-Fraumeni-like syndrome (LFL), showing papillary thyroid carcinoma and fibrosarcoma of the left flank, and had no TP53 germline mutations.
With the exception of one amino-acid substitution at position 280 (Arg-->Gln), the deduced amino-acid sequences of neutrophil gelatinase are identical to the amino-acid sequences of the enzyme isolated from fibrosarcoma cells.
This approach has facilitated the identification of novel AT-rich interaction domain 1A gene mutations in ovarian clear cell carcinoma, frequent tumor protein 53 (<i>TP53</i>) gene mutations in high-grade ovarian serous carcinoma, and Kirsten rat sarcoma and B-rapidly accelerated fibrosarcoma proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase gene mutations in low-grade ovarian serous carcinoma.
Accordingly, overexpression of a nonphosphorylable MT1-MMP mutant (Y573F) blocked sphingosine-1-phosphate-induced migration of Human umbilical vein endothelial cells and HT-1080 (human fibrosarcoma) cells and failed to stimulate migration of cells lacking the enzyme (bovine aortic endothelial cells).
Here, using a genetically engineered inducible system, we report that selective suppression of endogenous mutant IDH1 expression in HT1080, a fibrosarcoma cell line with a native IDH1(R132C) heterozygous mutation, significantly inhibits cell proliferation and decreases clonogenic potential.
In this study, to assess an involvement of LPA receptor genes in the development of human cancer cells, we looked for the presence of mutations in LPA receptor 1-6 (LPA1-6) genes in MG63 osteosarcoma, HT1080 fibrosarcoma, A549 lung adenocarcinoma, MCF-7 breast carcinoma, and G-361 melanoma cells.
Recently, the COL1A1-PDGFB chimeric gene resulting from a reciprocal translocation, t(17;22), and/or a supernumerary ring chromosome, r(17;22), has been identified, not only in conventional dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) but also in areas of DFSP with progression to fibrosarcoma (so-called fibrosarcomatous transformation) (FS-DFSP).
The present study aimed to assess the B rapidly accelerated fibrosarcoma (BRAFV600E) status in plasma from Chinese patients with melanoma, and evaluated its prognostic value following treatment with BRAF inhibitors.
Among these, compound <b>6b</b> induced a significant reduction in the expression level of CDK9 (cyclin-dependent kinase 9)/cyclin T1 in CFPAC-1 cells concomitant with attenuation of proliferative signaling mediated by c-Raf (rapidly accelerated fibrosarcoma) and p38 MAP (mitogen-activated protein) kinases.
To determine the role of the Janus tyrosine kinase (JAK)-STAT pathway in NF-kappaB activation by IFN, we examined NF-kappaB activation in JAK1-deficient mutant human fibrosarcoma cells.
To detect delayed activation of p53, we constructed a reporter plasmid containing the p53-responsible promoter and the bacterial beta-galactosidase (beta-gal) gene and introduced it into human fibrosarcoma (HT1080) cells, which retain wild-type p53 function.
Sonication of xenograft HT1080 fibrosarcoma tumors released extracellular vesicles that contained detectable RAC1 mRNA with the highly tumorigenic N92I mutation known to exist in HT1080 cells.
A total of eight different human STS cell lines were used in the study: Fibrosarcoma (HT1080), liposarcoma (SW872, T778 and MLS‑402), synovial sarcoma (SW982, SYO1 and 1273) and pleomorphic sarcoma (U2197).
Transfection of a human fibrosarcoma cell line with chloramphenicol acetyltransferase expression plasmids linked to a 5'-flanking deletion mutants of the IL-8 gene demonstrated that the nucleotides between -94 and -71 base pairs from the start of the first exon are essential and sufficient for the IL-8 induction by either IL-1, TNF, or phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate.
Here, we review the biological relevance of Sox2 and Sox9 genes in osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma and chordoma; Sox2, Sox6, and Sox17 genes in Ewing's sarcoma; Sox2, Sox9, and Sox10 genes in synovial sarcoma; Sox2 gene in fibrosarcoma; and Sox21 gene in liposarcoma.
