Evidence suggests that mutations in methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) appear to be linked with hyperhomocysteinemia (HHC) and cerebral-thrombotic events in children.
Besides, we showed that the T allele of MTHFRC677T polymorphism influenced the Hcy level which is an independent risk factor for HHC in Tunisian BD patients.
