The proportion of Th17 cells and the secretion of the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-17A and IL-22 were both elevated, whereas the proportion of Treg cells and the production of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 were both reduced in ITP patients compared to healthy controls.
