Higher expression levels of RANKL mRNA were detected in calcifying aponeurotic fibroma, fibrosarcoma, calcifying epithelioma, myositis ossificans, heterotopic calcification, giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath (GCTTS), and pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS), compared with the levels of other tumor types.
