Patients with null GSTM1 and GSTT1 had a higher event free survival rate than non-null genotype, but no significant association was found between the two genotypes and prognosis of osteosarcoma.
The results showed there was no significant association between GSTT1 OR = 1.04, 95% CI: 0.77-1.41, P > 0.05), GSTM1 (OR = 1.08, 95% CI: 0.80-1.46, P > 0.05) gene polymorphism and chemosensitivity in patients with osteosarcoma was found by pooled the published data.
Using the high-throughput assay, we demonstrate by multivariate analysis an increased risk of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, glial brain tumors, and osteosarcoma for patients carrying nonnull alleles of GSTM1 and/or GSTT1.
