Meanwhile, AIL inhibited PI3K/AKT pathway and up-regulated miR-126 expression. miR-126 of osteosarcoma tissues and cell lines was low expressed, as relative to paracancerous tissues and normal osteoblast.
Through RNA-sequencing and computational analysis, followed by a variety of experimental validations, we report a novel interplay between HOTAIR, miR-126, and DNA methylation in OS.
miR-126 expression was significantly decreased in osteosarcoma tissues compared to adjacent normal bone tissues (2.421 ± 1.250 vs. 6.212 ± 1.843, P = 0.001).
Therefore, the data reported here demonstrate that miR-126 is an important regulator in osteosarcoma, which will contribute to better understanding of the important misregulated miRNAs in osteosarcoma cells.
