Compared with the adjacent healthy tissues, the expression level of miR-142-5p was downregulated and the expression level of group XVI phospholipase A2 (PLA2G16) protein was upregulated in human OS tissues.
Finally, the inhibition of HuR knockdown was attenuated or even reversed via HMGA1 overexpression; therefore, the results of the present study indicated that RNA binding protein HuR may facilitate OS cell progression via competitively binding to HMGA1 with miR-142-3p.
