For the patients who showed pseudoprogression, we defined progression-free survival 1 (PFS1) as the time to Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors-defined first progressive disease and progression-free survival 2 (PFS2) as the time to Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors-defined second progressive disease or death.
Patients who demonstrated RECIST-PD due to new lesions had a longer median PFS2 compared to patients who were attested to enlargement of original lesions (10.0 versus 2.4 months, p = 0.009).
Progression free survival was assessed starting induction therapy until progressive disease (PD) during maintenance or treatment pause (PFS1) and until progression during re-induction therapy (PFS2).
Treatment outcomes were assessed via progression-free survival (PFS) times (PFS-1: time to PD after EGFR-TKI therapy; PFS-2: time to further PD after arterial infusion chemotherapy with EGFR-TKI therapy), the occurrence of treatment-related AEs, and patient responses to the QLQ-LC13 quality-of-life questionnaire.
