In Situ Synthesis of Ultrathin ZIF-8 Film-Coated MSNs for Codelivering Bcl 2 siRNA and Doxorubicin to Enhance Chemotherapeutic Efficacy in Drug-Resistant Cancer Cells.
Exploitation of drug-induced Bcl-2 overexpression for restoring normal apoptosis function: a promising new approach to the treatment of multidrug resistant cancer.
These data suggest that the expansion of AKT-driven prostate epithelial cells requires mTOR-dependent survival signaling and activation of HIF-1 alpha, and that clinical resistance to mTOR inhibitors may emerge through BCL2 expression and/or upregulation of HIF-1 alpha activity.
