Our results showed that a three-platelet mRNA set: MAX, MTURN, and HLA-B was significantly up-regulated in lung cancer patients as well as in early-stage lung cancer patients compared with those from healthy donors, the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.734, 0.787, respectively, among which platelet MTURN mRNA processed a dramatically high diagnostic efficiency in female patients with lung cancer, its AUC for female was 0.825.
