In the multivariate analysis, Cav-1 expression (positive vs. negative) was an independent prognostic factor for DFS (p < 0.001, hazard ratio (HR) 2.58) and OS (p = 0.031, HR 1.87), as was lymph node metastasis.
This study demonstrated that low-expression of ARPC1B is significantly associated with LNM and advanced tumor staging whereas high expression of Cav-1 can be a prognostic indicator for poor prognosis in OSCC patients.
