Aberrant expression of microRNA-152 (miR-152) is frequently observed in human cancers including ovarian cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and gastric cancer.
The observations of the present study revealed that the expression of miR-152 was significantly downregulated in EOC specimens, as well as three ovarian cancer (OC) cell lines.
The results indicated that four miRNAs related drug-resistance been identified, and the expression of hsa-miR-152 and hsa-miR-381 in drug-resistant OC tissue was significantly higher compared with those in drug-sensitive tissue (P < 0.01).
