We assessed person-reported outcome measures (PROMs) at baseline (hospital admission), discharge, and day 100: usefulness of BMT Roadmap (Perceived Usefulness); activation (Patient Activation Measure-Caregiver version [PAM-C]); mental health ([POMS-2®]: depression, distress, vigor, and fatigue); anxiety (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory); and quality of life (Caregiver Quality of Life Index-Cancer [CQOLC]).
We, thus, assessed childhood trauma (Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, CTQ) and GSE in 678 adults genotyped for 5-HTTLPR/rs25531 and their interaction on agoraphobic cognitions (Agoraphobic Cognitions Questionnaire, ACQ), social anxiety (Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale, LSAS), and trait anxiety (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, STAI-T).
Variations in three cytokine genes (i.e., interleukin (IL) 1 beta, IL1 receptor 2 (IL1R2), nuclear factor kappa beta 2 (NFKB2)) were associated with trait anxiety, and variations in two genes (i.e., IL1R2, tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFA)) were associated with state anxiety.
Although no DRD2 polymorphisms were associated with the risk of alcoholism, +32806C>T and Block2-ht1 showed associations (in dominant models) with both the state anxiety level scale (STAI-S) and the trait anxiety level scale (STAI-T) (P=0.004 and P=0.003, and P=0.01 and P=0.005, respectively).
