MRI of the spine revealed a syringomyelia extending from the C7 to T4 levels with serum positive anti-aquaporin-4 antibodies (AQP4-Ab) (indirect immunofluorescence on AQP4 transfected cells). he was serologically positive for both anti-Sjögren's syndrome-related antigen A and B antibodies and there was reduced salivary flow on scintigraphy.
We compared frequencies of anti-AQP-4 and SS-associated antibodies in 109 SS patients, including 11 with NMOSD, 8 with non-NMOSD demyelinating syndromes, and 90 without demyelinating syndromes.
