To investigate the role of classical (CLM, CD14<sup>++</sup>CD16<sup>-</sup>), intermediate (INTM, CD14<sup>++</sup>CD16<sup>+</sup>), and non-classical (Non-CLM, CD14<sup>+</sup>CD16<sup>++</sup>) monocytes in scar formation after ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), evaluated with cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR).
