We previously found that patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) have higher CD14+CD16+ monocyte frequency and prevalence of moderate chronic kidney disease (CKD) than age-matched control subjects.
The phenotypic characterization of peripheral blood cells revealed a significant increase of OC precursors (CD14+CD11b+CD51/61+) and CD14+CD16+ monocytes in advanced CKD and HD patients compared with the control group.
