We retrospectively evaluated the medical records of 160 patients with an initial diagnosis of clinically isolated syndrome or relapsing-remitting MS who were treated for at least 2 years.
We identified 82 patients with clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) ( n = 61) or with early relapsing-remitting MS ( n = 21) and assessed their VRF including arterial hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus and smoking.
The antibody seroprevalence was analyzed in 355 samples from 187 patients with clinically isolated syndrome or MS using a second-generation, two-step, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
