These results suggest that SEMA7A promotes seawater induced lung edema via plexin C1 and stimulates seawater induced lung inflammation via β1 integrin.
As such we demonstrate here, that previously unknown PLXNC1 holds significant importance for degree of pulmonary inflammation and determines outcome during experimental lung injury.
