This study was designed to isolate human primary cancer-associated fibroblasts of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma to study tumor-stroma interactions and to analyze the clinical relevance of alpha-smooth muscle actin -positive cancer-associated fibroblasts in patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
