Thyroid autoantibodies against thyroid peroxidase and thyroglobulin have been shown to represent an independent risk factor for infertility and miscarriage.
Studies suggest an association between miscarriage and preterm delivery in euthyroid women positive for anti-peroxidase antibodies and/or anti-thyroglobulin antibodies.
