CC and CT genotypes of TLR4 rs11536889 and rs1927911 respectively, and TC, CC genotypes of TLR9 rs187084, as well as minor alleles of TLR4 rs4986790 and TLR9 rs187084, were associated with the increased risk of cervical cancer.
The aim of our study is to identify the role of TLR 2 (-196 to -174 del), TLR 3 (1377 C>T), TLR 4 (Asp299Gly) and TLR 9 (G2848A) gene polymorphisms with the evolution of cervical cancer in Tunisian women.
TLR 2 del allele showed significant association (p=0.048, OR=1.6 [95%CI=1.00-2.51]) with cervical cancer susceptibility, while no significant association was found with TLR 4 (Asp299Gly and Thr399Ile).
