Using linear mixed effects models, we examined the effect of heterozygous mutation status on 736 community-dwelling older adults (≥70 years) without dementia or Parkinson's disease assessed over an average of 6 years, 28 of whom had a single GBA mutation (primarily N370S).
No significant differences between the group of mutation carriers and non-carriers were found in relation to clinical features except for dementia (MMSE score<26) occurring more often in N370S mutation carriers (60.0% vs 19.6%, p=0.03).
