No association with diabetes was showed in the meta-analyses of other six genetic variants, including SLC2A10 rs2335491, ATF6 rs2070150, KLF11 rs35927125, CASQ1 rs2275703, GNB3 C825T, and IL12B 1188A/C.
A case-control association study of the C825T polymorphism with diabetes using multiple logistic regression analysis showed a significant association of the genotypes TT+TC with an odds ratio of 0.62 (p=0.008) independent of age, gender, and BMI.
In contrast, analyses in logistic regression models showed that the C825T polymorphism was not significantly associated with each of the four major classical risk factors for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease (obesity, hypertension, hypertriglyceridemia, and diabetes mellitus).
