Using a marker-by-marker logistic regression analysis, adjusting for age, smoking, gender, and body mass index, we found an association of rs3093059 (recessive: OR, 7.01; 95% CI, 1.16-42.22; p=0.03) with T2DM in the white study population, and an association, albeit not statistically significant, of rs2794521 with T2DM in the Black study population.
