In the tumor type subgroup analysis, rs2910164 C allele decreased the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (C vs. G: OR = 0.89, 95% CI = 0.80-1.00) and cervical squamous cell carcinoma (C vs. G: OR = 0.72, 95% CI = 0.62-0.84).
The present study provides evidence that rs3746444 and rs2910164 are associated with CSCC, indicating that common genetic polymorphisms in pre-microRNAs contribute to the pathogenesis of CSCC.
