The aim of this study was to investigate the potential prognostic value of SKP2, genes P27Kip1, K-ras, c-Myc, COX2 and HER2 genes expression in ovarian cancer.
In addition, XPC and p27(Kip1) were down regulated by eIF3a. eIF3a improves ovarian cancer patients' response to DDP-based chemotherapy via down regulating XPC and p27(Kip1).
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the role of SNPs in three genes, XRCC2 (R188H), ERCC2 (K751Q) and CDKN1B (V109G) which are with moderate risk for ovarian cancer susceptibility in Egyptian women.
The results suggest that low expression of p27(kip1) and cyclin D1 as well as high expression of cyclin E and cdk2 promotes the development of ovarian tumors. p27(kip1) and cyclin D1 expression are negatively correlated with the malignant degree of epithelial ovarian tumors.
