Dab2 is expressed at variable level in meningiomas with different grade of malignancy and probably plays a pivotal role in the early stage of oncogenesis of malignant meningiomas.
In the present study, we aimed to determine the clinical significance of loss of DAB2 protein in esophageal tumorigenesis, hypothesizing that DAB2 promoter hypermethylation-mediated gene silencing may account for loss of the protein.
In conclusion, DOC-2 is overexpressed in primary pancreatic adenocarcinoma but down-regulated in metastatic disease, suggesting a tumor suppressor function of DOC-2 in the late steps of pancreatic carcinogenesis.
